Day 32 – January 23, 2014 – Oak tree something??

Walking around the block, looking for something to shoot, this caught my eye at the last minute.  Funny how that happens.  I love the background bokeh and how it makes the cluster pop.

Day 31 – January 22, 2014 – Martha Chicken.

We got one Americauna so that we could have occasional green eggs.  Isn’t she cute?  She has this funny gray beard that made me want to change her name from Martha (Washington) to Fidel (Castro)!  Silly.  Today I took the camera, and a handful of food into the light of the fence and the golden hour…. Not bad for a chicken photo!

Day 30 – January 21, 2014 – Winter.

This is part one of a four part series.  Seasons.  From my future kitchen window.  View of the creek in a drought.  Still, love the moss covered fence, the berry patch (think cobbler), and the serenity.  Enjoy.

Day 29 – January 20, 2014 – Shadow Selfie.

The burst of sunlight caught my eye, then I noticed my shadow.  Always happens in that order, light then shadow.  I moved to align my body with a fallen tree, the final image with increased clarity in Lightroom really evokes a feeling of mystery.  

Day 28 – January 19, 2014 – Photo Shoot with Jeff & Kendra.

I had a role reversal today, two photographer friends were playing with light and more tools than I knew existed for making light work for them.  I was the model!  Yikes.  I’m never in the pictures!  I’ll post one later just for fun.  Thanks Jeff & Kendra! I shot this while they were shooting me.  Dramatic background, color, texture, line…… 

Day 27 – January 18, 2014 – OAK.

Another long day, lots of great shots of the day, however, this is my favorite.  The airport loading area at terminal 2 in Oakland.  That splash of blue made it feel special.

When one has had a busy day and is staying in a hotel in Orange County, one tends to take strange pictures.  Still, fun perspective.

Day 25 – January 16, 2014 – Zuel.

Ha!  This guy guards our house, and I loved the light when I got home today.  We don’t want him there forever, but he’s such a part of the character of our house, we’ll have to keep him somewhere!

Day 24 – January 15, 2014 – Amazing Sunset!

Accidental beauty, driving home tonight, wow!  I love the layers of trees and the light.

Day 23 – January 14, 2014 – Remy.

Determined, outgoing, fun, happy dude! Fun time at Bud’s Meat with Rachel & Remy picking up our yearly purchase from Magruder Ranch. Moooo!
